Rental / Services policies. We reserve the right to change these policies at any time without notice.

-All rentals are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan

-All rentals are subject to credit approval and must be secured with a  valid credit card

-Minimum one day rental

-Equipment must be returned in the same condition it was obtained in. While you have our equipment you are responsible for it. If it is damaged we will charge you the full replacement value. Charges for damaged equipment may not be paid for with store credit.

-Rentals are due back between 10:00am and 12:00 noon on the return date. Rentals returned after 12:00PM on due date are subject to late charge.

-Cables returned dirty (muddy, etc.), unwrapped, snarled or with tape residue will be subject to a cleaning fee, minimum $25.00. Cleaning fees may not be paid for with store credit.

-It is your responsibility to learn how to use, transport, set up, strike the equipment before you leave our facility, if you have any questions we are happy to help.

-Malfunctions: we must be notified immediately about any equipment malfunctions. If we are notified about a malfunction upon return no refund will be issued. In the case of swap outs equipment must be returned to our office.

All rentals are subject to a 20% cancellation charge: Rentals are subject to a seven day cancellation period. Rentals cancelled within seven days of scheduled pick up date will not be issued a refund and are subject to charge in the full amount of the rental.

-Rentals not returned on time will be charged for extra days at the full daily rate.

-We reserve the right to change these policies without notice at any time.

-You agree to defend, indemnify and hold ONTECH FORCE, LLC. harmless against any claim, liability loss, costs, damages, expenses, or demands arising directly or indirectly out of, or in connection with the use of the Property leased from ONTECH FORCE, LLC. by you, its agents, servants, sub lessees, contractors, representative, guests, invites, or customers.

-You  agree to save and hold harmless ONTECH FORCE, LLC. hereinafter referred to as the Company, and its agents, officers, directors, and employees from and against any and all claims, suits, demands and/or liability and the cost of defense thereof, arising from injury or damage to any persons or property by reason of any act or omission by the Contractor or its employees or sub-contractors in, upon or about the premises owned, operated or under the control of the Company.

-We will not be responsible for any damages due to use or misuse of our equipment. In any case our liability is limited to the amount of the original rental invoice.

-We reserve the right to change these terms without notice.

(A fast and easy reference for the care of your projector) 

  1. Read the user manual that came with your projector. It will include operational information exclusive to your projector.
  2. Become familiar with the unit before your first presentation or event.
  3. To prolong lamp life, always allow your projector to cool completely before turning off or unplugging. Remember that excessive heat can greatly shorten your lamp life. Do not operate your projector in direct sunlight or near a heat source.
  4. Change filter* as specified by your user manual.
  5. Never operate the unit without the air filter*. Doing so can draw dust in to the optics of the projector, which can be projected on to your image.
  6. Avoid using your projector in a smoky environment. This can cause damage to the optics of the unit and can void your warranty.
  7. Store your projector in a cool, dry area. Save the shipping box for safe secure storage when not in use. If the need arises for you to ship your projector in the future, the original box and packing material is the safest way to pack your unit.
  8. If projector is mounted to the ceiling, be sure that the area near the intake fan is kept clean and not in direct line of air or heat vents.
  9. For optimal image quality, always keep your lens clean. The safest way to clean your lens is with a lens cloth, which can be purchased at a camera store.

OnTech Force, LLC, is a Michigan-based company governed by the laws of the State of Michigan. Upon receiving a Customer’s Service Request, OnTech Force, LLC will provide service as ordered, adhering to the following terms and conditions, which exclusively govern all orders, superseding any additional or differing terms present on customer order forms.

OnTech Force, LLC offers diverse electronic repair services to both residential and commercial customers. The pronouns "We," "Our," or "Us" refer to OnTech Force, LLC and/or any third-party service provider under contract. The terms "Customer," "You," and "Your" pertain to the party seeking services from OnTech Force, LLC. The term "equipment" encompasses all peripherals. Utilizing our services, whether through our website, Internet remote support, telephonically, or on-site, whether on our premises or yours, signifies your unwavering agreement to and acceptance of these Terms & Conditions of Service, any agreement, and any addendum(s) made with an effective or revised date equal to the date of said agreement or as otherwise defined. Please read this information thoroughly before accepting services from us.

1. Service: OnTech Force, LLC's service refers to remedial (repair) service of electronic devices at its repair facility (In-Store). The service offered is identified as Time and Material In-Store Service.

Onsite repair services: We offer onsite services for situations where shipping products to us for repair isn’t possible or feasible. In these situations, an OnTech Force customer service engineer can come to you. We charge an hourly rate (minimum 2 hours) plus the cost of parts. The price of the onsite service varies per model of projector.

2. Payments: Payment methods include Cash, Company Check, Money Order, Credit Card (4% charge), or C.O.D. Payment terms are 50% down, 50% upon completion. Late payments may incur additional charges. All equipment remains the property of OTF until payment is complete. OTF has the right to remove all unpaid equipment if payment is incomplete after 90 days of the finish date. A 20% restocking fee will be charged on any item not returned within 7 days of purchase. After 7 days, any item cannot be returned. A shipping charge shall be enforced on all returned items. Items not mentioned in this proposal are not part of the bid price. Any additional items will have an additional cost. OnTech Force, LLC reserves the right to correct errors made in a quotation.

PREPAYMENT REQUIREMENTS: OnTech Force, LLC may ask for prepayment of any flat-rate services. In the case where an assessment of the problem with your equipment is necessary, we will charge a non-refundable Diagnosis Fee as posted on our website. If we are able, and you authorize us to fix the diagnosed problem, the Diagnosis Fee will be applied as a CREDIT toward the repair. We may waive the prepayment requirements under certain circumstances without waiving our rights under this agreement. We will provide a written estimate (electronically if more convenient) to repair your issue(s), and depending on the nature of the repair, we may list a maximum dollar amount we will charge if the estimate is based on an hourly rate. Payment may be made by Visa®, Mastercard®, American Express®, Discover®, or Money Order, or in the case of on-site services, cash. Payment for all services may be made through our website.

3. Replacement Parts: In maintaining any product, OnTech Force, LLC may use new or equivalent-to-new parts or assemblies for equal or improved quality. All defective parts and assemblies become the property of OnTech Force, LLC. OnTech Force, LLC., at its option, may request the return of these parts.

4. Warranty: OnTech Force, LLC warrants that repair service purchased from OnTech Force, LLC will be performed in a workmanlike manner and that all parts installed in the course of such service will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 30 days from the date of service. If any service or replacement part proves defective within the warranty period, OnTech Force, LLC will correct the defective work and replace the defective part without charge for parts and labor. To obtain service under this warranty, the customer must notify OnTech Force, LLC of the defect before the expiration of the warranty period and make suitable arrangements for the performance of service. OnTech Force, LLC will provide corrective service at the location where the original service was performed. OnTech Force, LLC shall not be obligated under this Warranty to: Repair damage resulting from attempts by personnel other than OnTech Force, LLC representatives to install, repair, or service the product unless directed by an OnTech Force, LLC representative. Repair any damage, malfunction, or degradation of performance resulting from improper use or connection to incompatible equipment or memory. Provide any application software support or service involving application hardware. Perform user maintenance or cleaning or repair damage, malfunction, or degradation of performance resulting from failure to perform user maintenance and cleaning as prescribed in published product materials. Repair damage, malfunction, or degradation of performance resulting from the use of the product in an environment not meeting the operating specifications set forth in the user manual. Repair any accessories or service any product after the limit of its duty cycle has been reached, if applicable.

ELECTRONIC WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS: 

The warranty does not cover the following conditions:

  • Water, fire, and smoke damage.
  • Physical abuse like broken jack panel ports, HDMI ports, and Tuner RF connection.
  • Failure from a defective cable box, U-Verse, or satellite receiver.
  • Failure from any externally connected defective device such as but not limited to: Blu-ray DVD, computer, VCR, DVR, etc.
  • Failure from lightning strikes or power company/personal power generator voltage spikes and surges.

THIS WARRANTY IS GIVEN BY OnTech Force, LLC. WITH RESPECT TO ITS REPAIR SERVICE IN LIEU OF ANY OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. OnTech Force, LLC.’S RESPONSIBILITY TO REPLACE DEFECTIVE PARTS AND CORRECT ITS WORK IS THE SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY PROVIDED TO THE CUSTOMER FOR BREACH OF THIS WARRANTY.

6. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: IN NO EVENT SHALL OnTech Force, LLC. BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF SERVICE PROVIDED HEREUNDER, EVEN IF OnTech Force, LLC. HAS ADVANCE NOTICE OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

7. Governing Law: Purchases hereunder shall be governed by and construed under the laws of the state of Michigan.

8. Entire Agreement: This document constitutes the entire agreement between OnTech Force, LLC. and the customer concerning the subject matter contained herein.

PRIVACY POLICY OnTech Force respects your privacy. We do not sell, rent, trade, lend, barter, swap, loan, give, or otherwise transfer your information to anyone else for spamming purposes. You can always unsubscribe from the newsletter we may send to you on our website or via the provided email link.

Please read the following information before you package your equipment:

  1. Please fill out the form in this link
  2. The projector should be packaged in a box. Should be a minimum of 2 inches of space around unit for extra padding (bubble wrap or newspaper). It is very important to put extra padding when you ship heavy items like large projectors.3) DO NOT ship projector power cords and mounts. Projector mount must be removed before shipping.
  3. Remember to get the tracking number for your shipment. You have the option to insure your projector. Please make inquiries with your carrier for rates. You will also have the option to insure your projector on its way back to you (out of warranty service only). The insurance rates will be provided in the repair estimate sent to you once the unit has been evaluated.
  4. Freight claim responsibility and insurance liability responsibility both belong to the customer
  5. We will contact you within 2-3 business days from the time we receive your package with the estimate and time needed for repair. We will not begin any work on your equipment without your approval.
  6. We accept Visa, Master Card, Discover and American Express.  We also work with Purchase Orders.

RETURN SHIPPING

  1. Return shipping and insurance charges (if needed) will be added to the final invoice. We are using UPS Ground service for shipping all of our packages. If you need us to ship it back by faster service please indicate it on the shipping form.
  2. OnTech Force is not responsible for any shipping delays due to holidays or extreme weather conditions. We always do our best to accommodate the customer's needs, however sometimes there are conditions beyond our control.

Your package and projector will be inspected upon receipt. Any damage will be documented and you will be notified. The packaging and carton will be retained for 3 business days. Should you decide to submit a damage claim to the carrier, OnTech Force must be notified within those 3 days or the packaging and carton will be discarded. OnTech Force is not responsible for damage that occurs during transportation.

After numerous rejections from "geek experts" to repair my video projector from a manufacturer who no longer exists, I decided to give OnTech Force a try.
